Message to Filipinos, Filipino-Americans
and Friends of the Philippines

     Are you suffering from “donor fatigue?” Do you feel that it is hopeless to send help to the Philippines because it is beyond help, or that your donation will have no impact anyway? Or worse, are you afraid that your donation will be wasted, diverted or stolen anyway? Have you always wanted to “give back” to the Philippines, but did not know how, or did not trust the organizations you talked to?

We offer an honest, viable and immediate solution.

     We are the Wellness Development Foundation, Inc. (WDFI), a charitable organization formed under Article 501 (c )3 of the Internal Revenue Code. It is non-denominational, non-political and no-nonsense group. It endorses, supports or currently funds the following projects :

1. Poverty alleviation projects, like the Gawad-Kalinga
2. Medical missions
3. Community livelihood projects, like the BETA Cooperative and corporatives under CNN
4. Wellness projects, including instruction and promotion of indigenous martial arts, hilot and other traditional folk medicine, and holistic healing and care.

     The problems facing the Philippines are overwhelming—crushing poverty, a failing economy, endemic corruption and ineptitude at all levels of government, deteriorating peace and order situation, and a despairing, restless and growing populace. The efforts of WDFI may be initially the proverbial drop in the bucket, but it is a real, honest, immediate, sustainable and focused effort. With your help, we want our efforts to grow from the drop in the bucket to a trickle to a torrent to a tsunami of good and positive, washing away poverty, graft and corruption, criminality and many of the ills that plague the Philippines.
